Indigo shibori weekend workshop With wabi-sabi designs

Experience the joy and magic of shibori dyeing with natural Japanese indigo in this two day workshop.

In two full days we are able to play with all the major types of pattern making including itajime folding and clamping, makiage tying, arashi pole wrapping, nuishibori stitched techniques and so much more!

There is no requirements list! Just walk into class and enjoy learning and  dyeing.  We provide indigo vats, aprons, gloves, our purpose-made resists, and all you need to try a full range of techniques. We recommend you wear old clothes and shoes in case of splashes.

We are holding the workshop at the fabulous Know-How Sewing Essentials in Mittagong - a perfect creative environment (and a chance for some shopping and expert advice from the Know-How team on the side)!

* Please note that participants cannot bring their own materials for dyeing as we cannot guarantee the result or the effect on our vat. for people who wish to dye later at home.  However, you may dye some samples on site for testing purposes at the end of the workshop.
